On our last full Spanish day we decided on a trip out to the hilltop village of Vejer with the Clarkes. We rose late to hot, sunny weather, and all went for a swim in the sea, the tide being in. It was very cooling on my swollen buboils and spiders eggs.
Vicky and alex depart for the beach
On the way down we noticed our chameleon friend sunning himself on the fence again. But while in the sea we spied some evil Spaniard trying to pick him up! Luckily he ran to the top out of reach.
We arrived in Bejer mis afternoon and it was really hot. Too hot for me. We wandered around the streets but I wasn't comfortable so didn't really enjoy it. We did find a air-con fed ice cream parlour though, so that gave some relief.
Your could also buys nuns on a stick in there, should you choose to.
After a few scenic photos we headed back for the relative cool of the coast
On the last evening all 16 of us went out for pizza in a really nice outside restaurant, although I feel my parting buboil may have come from there. And so to bed, tomorrow we would be homeward bound.
The return journey will be dealt with in my league one year blog
